Dylan Cranfield

A short film written and directed by myself with the help of a fantastic team including; Steffan Jones, Mike Taylor, Oliver Cooper, Jack Denton and Ciaran poole. This 2nd year production was my first experience with the Panasonic varicam LT and arri lighting which gave the film a lush profile throughout. The range of colours also gave the editing crew (Nate Ianos) a lot to consider. 

RELEASED 2019 

During my last year at film camp (previous known as Orson the Kid) I contributed to this mystery thriller on the script. Particularly I collaborated with 3 other scriptwriters to create a story inspired out of greek mythology with a modern day twist. The name ICHOR derives from the greek word for blood of the gods.

This is a short teaser for the "in-progress" documentary about the youth of Britain's take on Brexit and how it has affected different groups. 

IN PROGRESS (FILMED 2018/2019/2020) 

This documentary demonstrates the life of a visually impaired family. It highlights the struggles of their visual impairment on daily life but also reflects the beauty of their connection and particularly their musical abilities. 

RELEASED 2020 

My first experience working on a film set, whilst being only 15 years old at the time. Orson the kid gave the opportunity for me to work with professional equipment and actors to experience what life in the industry could be like. This is where my passion for film making began and will always hold fond memories for me. My role was small being a camera assistant on this production, but none the less my contribution was my eagerness to help out in whatever form.
